The Invisible Man – Official Trailer

The final and official trailer for The Invisible Man has been released. The movie will be out in theaters on February 28th.

Full Info:

What you can’t see can hurt you. Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss (Us, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale) stars in a terrifying modern tale of obsession inspired by Universal’s classic monster character.

Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer, NBC’s The InBetween), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge, Straight Outta Compton) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid, HBO’s Euphoria).

But when Cecilia’s abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

Jason Blum, our current-day master of the horror genre, produces The Invisible Man for his Blumhouse Productions. The Invisible Man is written, directed and executive produced by Leigh Whannell, one of the original conceivers of the Saw franchise who most recently directed Upgrade and Insidious: Chapter 3.

The film is also produced by Kylie du Fresne (Upgrade, The Sapphires) for Goalpost Pictures. The executive producers are Whannell, Beatriz Sequeira, Charles Layton, Rosemary Blight, Ben Grant, Couper Samuelson and Jeanette Volturno. The Invisible Man is a co-production of Goalpost Pictures Australia and Blumhouse Productions, in association with Nervous Tick, for Universal Pictures.

The Invisible Man: Elisabeth Moss On How The Reboot Tackles The Horror Of Abuse

The Invisible Man: Elisabeth Moss On How The Reboot Tackles The Horror Of Abuse

Elisabeth talks to Empire Magazine about her upcoming movie “The Invisible Man”, which will be released on March.

Below is the article from Empire and some photos, posters and behind the scenes photos.

Elisabeth Moss in The Invisible ManMost films about The Invisible Man focus centrally around, well, The Invisible Man. But not The Invisible Man. Leigh Whannell’s Blumhouse reboot of the classic Universal monster property centres on Elisabeth Moss’s Cecilia, a woman convinced that her abusive ex-boyfriend – who seemingly committed suicide – has mastered the art of invisibility and is using his power to stalk her without detection. It’s a timely, thought-provoking update on H.G. Wells’ original story, one that probes real-world horrors – while still delivering the frights you’d expect from a mainstream scare-‘em-up.

Speaking to Empire in the new issue, Moss opened up about the subject the metaphors at play in Whannell’s film. “You literally have a man who is invisible, you can’t see him, she’s saying he’s there, that he’s attacking her, abusing her, manipulating her, and everyone around her is saying, ‘Relax. It’s fine.’ And she keeps saying, ‘No, he is – he’s alive, he’s doing this,’ and no-one believes her. The analogy is incredibly clear,” she says. And as the lead of The Handmaid’s Tale TV adaptation, Moss is no stranger to portraying women suffering under the patriarchy on screen. “I’ve had quite a bit of experience playing characters who are dealing with various types of abuse,” she explains. “Whether it’s emotional, physical, sexual, it’s something that I’ve dived into quite a bit. So I was able to bring that knowledge to the role.”

Elisabeth Moss Joins Wes Anderson’s ‘The French Dispatch,’ Which Could Arrive This Year

Elisabeth Moss Joins Wes Anderson’s ‘The French Dispatch,’ Which Could Arrive This Year

New Project for Elisabeth “The French Dispatch” which is looking great by the amount of great actors in it.

With a new Wes Anderson film on the horizon, it also means one a grand ensemble also awaits–and even though The French Dispatch wrapped last month on location in France, the cast just keeps getting better. With Timothée Chalamet, Benicio del Toro, Jeffrey Wright, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Mathieu Amalric, Owen Wilson, Lois Smith, Willem Dafoe, Bob Balaban, Henry Winkler, Adrien Brody, Kate Winslet, Jason Schwartzman, Christoph Waltz, Griffin Dunne, Denis Ménochet, Vincent Macaigne, Cécile de France, and Rupert Friend all on board, another name has revealed itself.

Elisabeth Moss, who can recently be seen onscreen in one of her best performances, in Alex Ross Perry’s Her Smell, has joined the cast. “I just did a tiny part in a Wes Anderson film, and 100 percent of it was because I wanted to be in a Wes Anderson movie. I’m a tremendous fan,” Moss tells THR. “That’s why you get all those other actors in for small parts in his movies, because they just want to work with him. So, it’s much more about the collaboration than any calculated career move.”

Anderson also recently opened up more about his tenth film, telling Charente Libre that it’s about “an American journalist based in France who creates his own magazine. It is more a portrait of this man, of this journalist who fights to write what he wants to write. It’s not a movie about the freedom of the press, but when you talk about reporters, you also talk about what’s going on in the real world.”

While we expected the film to be a 2020 release, Anderson said, “I feel that it could be ready before the end of the year.” So, fingers crossed post-production goes well this summer and we’ll update when a release date is announced.

Benedict Cumberbatch, Elisabeth Moss to Star in Jane Campion’s New Film

Benedict Cumberbatch, Elisabeth Moss to Star in Jane Campion’s New Film

Benedict Cumberbatch and Elisabeth Moss will star in Jane Campion’s new film, “The Power of the Dog,” an adaptation of the Thomas Savage novel.

Campion will direct from a script she adapted, with See-Saw Films’ in-house sales arm, Cross City Films, launching sales at this month’s Cannes Film Festival. The movie will go into pre-production at the end of the year.

“‘The Power of the Dog’ is a sublime novel that deserves a life on the big screen. I couldn’t stop thinking about the story, it really haunted me. The themes of masculinity, nostalgia and betrayal are an intoxicating mix,” Campion said. “It’s also rare to find a story where the themes, the plot and the characters build tension as they reveal each other and even the end is satisfying and unexpected. It will be the first time I’ve worked with a male lead, which is exciting. Phil is a charismatic and complex character who declares war on his brother’s new wife and her teenage son.”

The book tells the story of wealthy Montana brothers Phil (Cumberbatch) and George Burbank. Phil is brilliant and cruel, while George is fastidious and gentle. Together, they are joint owners of the biggest ranch in their Montana valley. When George secretly marries local widow Rose (Moss), an angry Phil wages a relentless war to destroy her by using her son Peter as a pawn.

The pic is a See-Saw Films and Big Shell Films/Max Films production in association with Brightstar. It originated with producer Roger Frappier of Max Films, who held the rights to the novel. Frappier offered the property to Campion following a meeting at a recent Cannes Film Festival.

Campion then tapped “Cold War” producer Tanya Seghatchian of Brightstar to partner with her to bring the project to life. She also approached her longtime collaborators, producers Emile Sherman and Iain Canning at See-Saw Films, who executive produced her TV series “Top of the Lake,” to drive the financing and physical production. The project has been developed with BBC Films, who are also backing production. BBC Films’ Rose Garnett, See-Saw film COO Simon Gillis and Brightstar’s John Woodward will serve as executive producers.

The production deal was negotiated by Gillis and See-Saw head of business affairs Rebecca Hardman, alongside Kate Richter of HLA Management on behalf of Campion, Stephen Saltzman of Paul Hastings and Peter Meyer of Meyer Management on behalf of Max Films, Nel Malikova on behalf of Hachette Book Group, Elizabeth Savage and Jeremy Gawade of Lee & Thompson on behalf of Brightstar, and Geraldine Atlee on behalf of BBC Films.

Cumberbatch recently starred in the massive Marvel hits “Avengers: Endgame” and “Avengers: Infinity War,” in addition to lending his voice to the title character in “The Grinch.” On the TV side, he starred in HBO’s “Brexit” and also has the Amazon series “Good Omens.” He just finished filming Sam Mendes’ World War I pic “1917” and is also attached to topline the sequel to “Doctor Strange.”

Moss was most recently seen in the horror hit “Us,” which has grossed more than $250 million at the worldwide box office. She’s starring in the rock drama “Her Smell” and also has the crime drama “The Kitchen” bowing later this year. She is also returning for the third season of the Emmy-winning “The Handmaid’s Tale,” which premieres this summer, and also signed on to star in “The Invisible Man” reboot.

Campion won the Academy Award for screenplay for “The Piano.” She became the first, and to date only, female director to be awarded the Cannes Film Festival’s Palme d’Or. Her limited series “Top of the Lake” won the 2013 Emmy for cinematography for a miniseries or movie, as well as the 2014 Golden Globe for an actress in a miniseries or movie for Moss. Campion created, co-wrote and directed the follow-up, “Top of the Lake: China Girl,” which was one of the first TV series ever to be included in the Cannes Film Festival’s official selection.

Campion is repped by HLA Management in Australia. Cumberbatch is repped by UTA in the U.S. and Conway van Gelder Grant in the U.K. Moss is repped by WME, Ribisi Entertainment Group, Viewpoint and Hansen Jacobson Teller Hoberman in the U.S., and Independent Talent Group in the U.K.
